For booking The Centre, please contact
Suzanne Brolley, Scheduling Coordinator, administration@canterburycommon.ca

There are numerous CCRA activities hosted daily as well as meetings for Sub Committees and the Board.

The Centre is also available for private functions on weekends only. We have had birthday parties, family gatherings and baby showers as well as many other events which provides a pleasant setting for any celebration enjoyed by our residents of Canterbury Common.

Any resident wishing to book an activity or meeting at The Centre, must contact the Scheduling Coordinator. This will prevent disappointment when arriving for an activity to find it already in use.

Any resident wishing to use The Centre for a private event must first check with the Scheduling Coordinator for availability. An application form will be issued along with a list of guidelines regarding use of The Centre.  A tour of the facility is conducted to explain what is included in your booking and provide further explanation of the guidelines.  The completed application form must include details of current and adequate liability insurance.

The rental fee for events with up to 80 guests is $250, the fees must be paid by cheque. A second cheque in the amount of $500 will be required for security deposit.  After the event, an inspection of The Centre will be carried out and when no damages have occurred the damages cheque will be shredded. The Treasurer will cash the rental cheque after the event has taken place.

All bookings are displayed in the Monthly Event Calendar so that residents may see at a glance when and where the events of their choice occur for a specific month.

Once a month a copy of the calendar is printed for distribution to residents and left for pick up in the box at the postal kiosk. In addition, the calendar is also posted on the notice board at the north hall of The Centre and on the CCRA website.
